Sweet Sixteen Invitations: More Than Just An Announcement

Invitations give the impression of what your party will be like. A lousy and boring invitation might get set aside, so to induce your guests to come to your party, pick invitations that will make them look forward to the celebration.

When choosing stationery, make sure that it complements the theme of your party. Don’t just pick invitations randomly. Decide if your party will be a sit-down dinner or a theme park escapade. Consider the venue and the kind of party you’ll be holding before you select the type of invitation to send out.

Invitations don’t always have to be bought in a store. You can be creative and create handmade invites. Make sure, though, that the card and the envelope match. Choose complementary colors or matching designs for your invitations.

Handmade invitations, however, can be pretty expensive if they require special paper and dainty ribbons. Another option is to make invitations using your computer. Printing these out on special paper allows you to add creativity to your invites without having to spend too much money.

A sweet sixteen invitation, though, shouldn’t always be too formal. You can include your favorite poem in your invitation or your favorite quote. You can also add a childhood picture and recent picture of you in your invitation. You should, however, include a map to the venue of your event.

Invitations don’t always have to be rectangular or square cards. These can be in the shape of a fan that you can open up or the shape of a fish. These could also be in the form of a scroll that you have to unroll. Invitations can also look cute as rolled up letters inside colorful test tubes.

Whatever type of invitation you choose, just make sure that it coincides with the theme of the occasion. With the right type of invitations, these could even be kept as souvenirs by your friends who also are excited for your sixteenth birthday.
